Six-Hack (MK 38)
A downloadable game
Six-Hack is a simple, d6-based, hack inspired by the Original Fantasy RPG (1974 edition). It builds on the foundation laid by our hobby's founding fathers, uncomplicates things by introducing a unified resolution mechanic, and a few new school design elements (action points, a monster creation system, etc). The current iteration is released under a CC license.
[Updated to Version 38 on 03/01/2024. A change to the damage dealt by extremely deadly traps was made, a minimal change was made to the Travel Time & Distance Table (the reference to Ox Drawn carts was changed to Horse Drawn carts), clarification was added to the guidelines for cold weather re: healing damage sustained by such, the guidelines for subterranean adventure were slightly revised, guidelines for waterborne conflict were included, an entry for mules was added to the bestiary, and the Hit Point value for Horses was updated in the same.]
[NOTE: Six-Hack is now live on Kickstarter.]

Ah! Just roll 1d6 for damage! :) This is listed under "health and damage" in the document.
Thank you
You're welcome!
Thank you for this fantastic game, just a clarifying question on combat: is combat an opposed roll, a difficulty roll or just roll for damage?
Thank you for the kind words! Combat is a difficulty roll per The Basics. Damage is rolled only if the 'to hit' (i.e. attack) roll is successful.
